Tour de France 2014 at Elland CC - Facilities

Elland Cricket Club is most likely going to be the largest camping site in Yorkshire. It is situated right in the heart of the great county of Yorkshire and, as such, is ideally located for you to visit some of the wonderful places here in "God's Country"! Now the route has been finalised, the tour now comes within 50 yards of the Elland cricket club site and it is rumoured that the climb from West Vale to the top of Blackley Road is going to be a "King of the Mountains" challenge.

Le Tour Elland

The whole Tour de France weekend is going to transform the town of Elland - the local Senior School, Brooksbank, is organising the "Super Cycling Saturday" at it's still-to-be-built cycling facility on Hammerstones Road. This will be followed by a procession into the town centre for the annual Elland Town Carnival which has been coordinated to occur on the Saturday before the Tour passes through. The whole town is going to be set up into different "Zones" with a weekend of live music, fantastic local foods and an all round carnival atmosphere.

Plans are already well underway and more details will appear here as and when they are officially announced.

Elland also has a beautiful 9 hole golf course located within walking distance of the Cricket Club.
